PlayOnlineBingo.com was founded in 2011 by a team of former bingo hall operators in Manchester. They knew, from years on the carpet, that the magic of bingo was never really the game — it was the “after the line” moment, when the caller cracked a joke, the regulars shouted at the screen, and a Tuesday night turned into something worth leaving the sofa for.

So when we rebuilt the experience online, we kept that bit. We hired 38 full-time chat moderators and game presenters, put them on rota in three shifts across Manchester, Edinburgh and Cardiff, and gave them nine daily chat games to run alongside the main event. They know regulars by name, they remember birthdays, and they write the jokes. Nothing you read in our chat is generated by an algorithm — it’s a real person, on a real shift, with a headset on.

Daisy has run the 90-ball Lounge since 2016 and is the originator of three of our most loved chat games, including Chatterbox Bingo and the Friday-night Lucky Numbers draw. A former caller at the Gala Bingo in Wigan, she trained seven of the hosts on our current rota and writes most of the jokes you’ll hear in the evening shift. Players travel between rooms to daub in her sessions — some log in twenty minutes early just to bag a seat.
